comics
My first published comic was a 3-page short I contributed to a small anthology called Humanescent by Jacques Nyemb in 2016. Since then, I have devoted my art full-time to creating graphic novels and comics. Here I have assembled a few samples of short stories I have developed for classes, anthologies, or for personal enjoyment.
Girls Who love Monsters Anthology
In 2020, I contributed this 9-page short to the anthology, Girls Who Love Monsters. I intended to keep these pages around as a potential pitch material as I plan to continue drawing these characters and developing their story arch.
Out of Body
Out of Body is a graphic novel pitch that I have been chiseling away at for a few years. The protagonist, Josie Flores, is a former Olympic gymnast who begins to experience bizarre changes to her body when the stress of college life begins to overwhelm her.
Revolver
Revolver is a working title for this story, and another I wrote including the same main character. It was also a studio assignment that I put a lot of heart into.
Wolf King
Wolf King was a grad school studio assignment in which I needed to create a 12-15 page comic in one quarter. This story was one that I had planned to write pre-gradschool and used the assignment as an opportunity to finally put it in motion.
One Shots
Here are a few shorts I created just for fun. Most of them are autobiographical in nature and helped me pass the time while in quarantine.
